Hello, I am Maryna.

Before becoming a counselor, I was a lawyer building my own life in another country. I know what it’s like to adapt to a new culture, build a career from scratch, and look successful while quietly wondering where you belong. Driven by a desire to better understand how people cope with change, I went on to earn a Master’s degree in Psychology and spent several years studying evidence-based therapeutic approaches in depth.

These experiences continue to shape the way I work with my clients today. Today, I help English-speaking adults make sense of what they’re experiencing and navigate anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.

Does This Sound Familiar?

If you recognize yourself in any of these thoughts or experiences, you’re not alone

“I can’t switch my mind off”.

“I am constantly thinking about the same thoughts.”

“I’m going through a personal or professional crossroads.”

“I’m exhausted, but I can’t seem to relax.”

“I feel stuck, as if my life is on hold.”

I feel lost, even though everything looks fine on the outside.

“I don’t understand why I react the way I do.”

“I’ve lost confidence in myself.”

“Why do my relationships always end the same way?”

“I’m struggling with grief or a significant loss.”

“I feel disconnected from my body.”

I don’t enjoy the things I used to.”

Sometimes, having a safe place to pause, reflect, and be truly heard is where meaningful change begins.

When you need help from another specialist

Psychosocial support can be helpful for many emotional problems. However, in some situations, an assessment or treatment by a psychiatrist or another medical specialist is required

These include:

  • Psychiatric assessment and diagnosis
  • An active suicidal crisis or an immediate risk of self-harm
  • Drug or alcohol addiction requiring specialist treatment
  • Mental health conditions requiring ongoing psychiatric supervision

I Am Not Able to provide the above-mentioned Treatments.

If I consider that another type of support is better suited to your needs, I will explain my recommendations and help you find the most appropriate specialist or service. My main aim is to ensure that you receive exactly the help you need.

My Approach & Methods

Every person is different. Rather than following a fixed method, I adapt my approach to your goals, pace, and needs. Depending on what would be most helpful, I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic and Trauma-informed Approaches, Gestalt-informed counselling, Body-oriented approaches, Mindfulness, and creative Art methods.

Client Experiences

Real stories from real journeys
  • One of the most comfortable consultants who really closes the question organically and brings you to a solution, not just gives it ‘in the forehead.”

  • During a year of work with Marina, I received not only support, but also clear, effective tools and techniques that really help me better understand my body, my inner state, and reduce negative psychosomatic symptoms. Counseling is always a joint effort, and I appreciate that our process has always been honest, collaborative, and lively. Marina is very sensitive, attentive, deeply reflective, and easy to trust and open up to. Every week, our sessions were a stable support that I could rely on even on the most difficult days. Thank you for your warmth, professionalism, and the feeling that I am not alone on this journey.

  • I have been working with Marina for a little over a year. Looking back at myself last year and now, I realize how far I have come thanks to our conversations and the additional homework I received after each session. Realizations come not during, but after, and even after a long period of time, at a completely unexpected moment. I am grateful to Marina for making me feel safe and fully accepted, no matter what state I am in. I am very glad that I took the plunge, and I am very happy and grateful that I am walking my path of change, awareness, and transformation with her.
